Variegated Snake Plant (Sansevieria): Live Rooted Houseplant in 6” Pot
Add bold structure and low-maintenance charm to your space with the Variegated Snake Plant (Sansevieria), an architectural beauty known for its upright, sword-like leaves in striking shades of green edged with creamy yellow variegation. This hardy plant is one of the easiest to care for, thriving in a wide range of light conditions—from bright, indirect light to low light—making it perfect for homes, offices, or low-sun corners. With its air-purifying qualities and drought tolerance, the snake plant is a favorite among beginners and experienced plant lovers alike.
Also known as: Sansevieria trifasciata, mother-in-law’s tongue, devil’s tongue, jinn’s tongue, bowstring hemp, and snake tongue
Why You’ll Love It:
Fully Rooted & Ready to Grow: Each plant arrives well-established with a healthy root system (not a cutting or starter plug).
Hardy & Drought-Tolerant: Can go weeks without water, making it one of the lowest-maintenance houseplants.
Air-Purifying: Known to naturally filter toxins and improve indoor air quality.
Plant Size: Shipped in a 6-inch nursery pot with approximately 5-6 leaves.
Compact Pot Size: Perfect for small spaces, gifting, or starting your collection.
Soil & Pot: Planted in a coconut fiber mix with drainage holes.
Protective Packaging: Wrapped securely to prevent spills or damage during transit.
Photo Assurance: A photo of your exact plant is included on the day it ships, so you know what to expect.
Care Guide:
Light Needs: Thrives in bright, indirect light but adapts to low-light spaces. Avoid intense direct sun.
Watering: Extremely drought-tolerant. Allow soil to dry completely between waterings. Water sparingly in winter.
Growth Habit: Upright, architectural leaves that slowly form dense clusters over time.
Temperature & Humidity: Prefers 60°F to 85°F (16°C to 29°C). Tolerates average household humidity; not frost-tolerant.
Pet Caution: Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. Keep out of reach of pets.
Shipping & Guarantee:
Processing Time: Ships within 1 business day of purchase.
Shipping Carrier & Speed: All plants ship via USPS with tracking:
Ground Advantage: 2–5 business days (economical option).
Priority Mail: 1–3 business days (faster delivery, includes $100 insurance).
Priority Mail Express: Overnight to 2 business days (fastest service, includes $100 insurance).
Live Arrival Guarantee: We carefully pack each plant to arrive healthy. If your plant is damaged in transit, contact me within 24 hours with photos of the box and plant. Please note that coverage does not extend to delivery delays or plants left outside in extreme weather.
Packaging & Unpacking Tips:
Each plant is wrapped securely in plastic to keep the soil and roots protected during shipping. The tape is placed near (but not on) the stem to hold the wrap in place.
To remove the packaging, insert scissors gently into the space next to the stem and cut away from the plant. Please don’t cut straight toward the center; this helps avoid snipping any leaves.
I’m unable to replace plants that are accidentally cut during unpacking, but don’t worry... small trim never harms the plant, and it will bounce back beautifully.
