Arrowhead Vine (Syngonium) Red Vein: Live Rooted Houseplant in 3" Pot

from $14.95
Add soft color and leafy texture to your space with this Syngonium podophyllum. Its light green leaves have red or burgundy veins, giving it a simple but eye-catching look. Also known as an arrowhead vine, this easy-care plant grows in a compact, trailing form that works well on shelves, tables, or in hanging planters.

This plant was grown from a healthy mother plant with red veining and is likely a Red Vein or Pink Vein variety, though the exact type is unknown. It’s a fun choice for collectors and an easy plant for beginners. It grows best in bright, indirect light and recovers well if you miss a watering.

Also known as: Arrowhead Plant, Goosefoot Plant, Syngonium podophyllum

💚 Why You’ll Love It 💚
• Fully Rooted & Ready to Grow: Each plant arrives well-established with a healthy root system (not a cutting or starter plug).
• Fast-Growing & Adaptable: Starts compact and bushy, then develops trailing or climbing vines that thrive in pots, hanging baskets, or on a moss pole. Easily shaped with pruning.
• Air-Purifying: Helps improve indoor air quality by filtering toxins naturally.
• Plant Size: Shipped in a 3- to 4-inch nursery pot with approximately 5 leaves and a single stem.
• Compact Pot Size: Perfect for small spaces, gifting, or starting your collection.
• Soil & Pot: Planted in coconut fiber mix with drainage holes.
• Protective Packaging – Includes a secure lid and soil wrap to prevent spills or damage during transit.

🧼 Care Instructions 🧼
• Light Needs: Thrives in bright, indirect light but tolerates medium light. Too much direct sun can scorch the leaves, while too little light may reduce variegation.
• Watering: Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy. Allow the top ½ inch of soil to dry out before watering again. Syngoniums appreciate slightly higher humidity, so misting or a pebble tray can help.
• Growth Habit: Naturally grows bushy when young, then develops a trailing or climbing vine with age. Can be trained up a moss pole or trimmed to stay compact.
• Temperature & Humidity: Prefers 60°F to 85°F (16°C to 29°C) and moderate to high humidity (50–70%). Not frost-tolerant; avoid cold drafts.
• Pet Caution: Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. Keep out of reach of pets and children.

📦 Shipping & Guarantee 📦
• Ships within 1 business day.
• Shipping Method: All plants ship via USPS. Delivery times are estimates and may vary.
• Live Arrival Guarantee: Plants are carefully packed to arrive healthy. If your plant arrives damaged, contact us within 24 hours with photos of the box and plant. The guarantee does not cover shipping delays, packages left outside, or weather-related damage when a heat pack was not added to the order.
• Heat Packs 72+ Hours (Optional): Heat packs are not automatically included. If temperatures in your area may drop below 40°F, adding a heat pack is strongly recommended. Heat packs can be selected from the dropdown before checkout and are $3 each. One heat pack is recommended per plant.

🪴 Packaging & Unpacking Tips 🪴
• Each plant is wrapped securely in plastic to keep the soil and roots protected during shipping. When selected, a heat pack is placed inside the box to help protect plants during cold transit. The tape is placed near (but not on) the stem to hold the wrap in place.
• To remove the packaging, insert scissors gently into the space next to the stem and cut away from the plant. Please don’t cut straight toward the center; this helps avoid snipping any leaves.
• I’m unable to replace plants that are accidentally cut during unpacking. However, a small trim will not harm the plant, and it will bounce back beautifully with proper care, as the roots are well established.
